Kerala Fish curry recipe with tomato sauce


Cook time: 45mins Prep time: 20mins      Servs: 5 persons
Ingredients:
  • 250gm ripe tomatos
  • 2pcs green chilli
  • Salt(According to taste)
  • 1 and 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 4 tsp oil for frying
  • 2 psc finely chopped onion
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1 tsp garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp chilli powder
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp fresh yogurt
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 kg haddock fillet
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnishing
Cooking Procedure:
Step 1:
Deseed the tomatos and chopp finely and also chopp green chillies.Remove bones from fish so that we get a bone less fish and cut fish in medium size cube.Add salt and turmeric with this fish and mix them well.
Step 2:
Now heat oil in a frying pan and add the fish cubes, if you have a large frying pan then you can fry all together.Fry fish cubes until it becomes golden brown.After frying put them aside.Now add 1 tsp oil and add chopped onion, fry it until it becomes golden colour.
Step 3:
Now add the remaining spices, stirr it properly for another 2 minutes, add tomatos,yogurt, lemon juice and green chilli.Now reduce heat cook for 15 minutes.
Step 4:
Add the fried fish and into the pan and cook it at low heat for 10 minutes.After 10 minutes check the flavour and taste if every things are ok then your fish curry is ready.Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and choppen onion.You can serve this curry with fried rice.
